Mexican activist and researcher with work on LGBTI rights and sexual and reproductive health.
Ricardo is a Mexican activist and researcher with experience in LGBTI rights and sexual and reproductive health. He has collaborated with several civil society organizations such as the Youth Coalition for Sexual and Reproductive Rights and IPPF. He is currently a member of the GayLatino Network and also of ADIL, the Alliance for Diversity and Labor Inclusion. He is also finishing a doctorate in health systems by the National Institute of Public Health in Mexico.
He has worked on issues of sexual education, LGBT health, programs and policies for HIV control and other sexually transmitted diseases, homophobic bullying and access to the labour market, among other topics. He has experience as a consultant and educator in more than 30 countries around the world with agencies such as the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, UNAIDS and the United Nations Population Fund. He is currently conducting research on health services for intersex people and on new technologies for HIV prevention among men in Mexico.
